Is it only members that can apply to participate in projects?

Yes, the way we deliver quality is through ensuring that every applicant is a pre-screened member of our community.

Do I have to pay to use the service?

If I already graduated, can I still apply?

Absolutely. PitchMe is open to anyone applying for a graduate level position.

Can the projects posted on PitchMe be seen anywhere else?

No, we restrict the access to our members. This is fundamental to the way we work.

What types of projects can I work on?

Project vary depending on the company. It can be anaything from operational issues that a company is facing, through spurring innovation to a joyful networking session.

How much information will the company have about me?

You remain completely anonymous until you apply for a project. We will take precaution to secure your privacy afterwards.

How many projects can I work on at the same time?

As many as you want. We are not your parents.

What is the typical timeframe between the application and invitation?

We guarantee you will hear back from us within 2 weeks.

Where do you source your candidates from?

The PitchMe team spends a huge amount of time to ensure our candidates are right for our employers.

We are very focused and specific in whom we market our platform to. From particular university societies to online communities, we know that getting this right is fundamental to the success of our business

How can you ensure that the information that candidates provide is accurate?

We make it very clear to all prospective members, when they sign up, that by joining PitchMe they are effectively making a job application to every single company member. We request a confirmation letter from the University and check all data through our rigorous, manual screening process.

  

How much information will approached candidates see about me?

Prospective candidates will only see what you choose to include in your company and role description. Typically this does not include a name or email address but does include basic information about the company and what the role will entail.

  

How will I know when a candidate has applied?

Whenever a PitchMe member applies to your project, you will be notified by email, with the application attached and the option to categorise it there and then. You will also be able to log into your account and see it there.

  

How will PitchMe know when I hire one of your members?

The easiest solution for this is when you tell us directly – just drop an email to us. If you forget to do this however, we will find out when we check up with the candidates who applied to you.

  

Do we employ hires ourselves or can PitchMe employ them as a temp agency would?

PitchMe is a platform for sourcing candidates – not a temp agency. As such, we do not offer the facility of formally employing individuals on your behalf. All employment contracts are between you and the PitchMe member and we do not get involved – just so long as you are paying a proper wage.

  

Does PitchMe give advice on hiring, salaries and so on?

Not formally, no. However, of course we have pretty extensive experience when it comes to these things, certainly know what to avoid and principles to adhere to and are always happy to share these informally with our clients.

  

Does PitchMe offer training courses to members?

No, we do not. This is not part of our core business, which is very much our focus. However, we know lots of people in the sector and know who we think is good, so please let us know if you are looking for a recommendation.
